Attending COLLABORATE 18 to share and gather information to optimize your Oracle environment and plan for the future is critical to your career and growth. We provide the following tips and resources to help you to get approval to attend.
1Plan. Education is at the heart of the COLLABORATE experience. Be sure to carefully review the agenda to identify the most relevant topics and sessions to your organization’s technology initiatives. COLLABORATE offers over 1200 sessions to choose from; approximately 28 hours of education sessions, plus keynotes, networking opportunities and the opportunity to meet and learn from 200+ exhibitors. When calculated, the per-hour fee is truly unbeatable when compared to most training opportunities.
2Calculate. Define the expenses associated with attendance. COLLABORATE offers many opportunities to save, including an early-bird registration discount, savings for being a member of IOUG, OAUG or Quest, and group and alumni savings. Additional savings come from staying within the official hotel block. Be sure to plan ahead; early registration is rewarded with the lowest conference and hotel rates. Account for your flights and meals; COLLABORATE includes lunch and hors d’oeuvre receptions Monday-Wednesday.
3Make Your Case. Use the customized letter we’ve provided to propose attendance to your leadership. Tie your COLLABORATE educational and networking plans specifically to your organization’s current initiatives and challenges, as well as to your own professional development goals.
